GIIA / Aztec Roundtable: Optimising infrastructure fund operations

At the inaugural roundtable co-hosted by the GIIA and Aztec Group at The Lookout in London the central topic across a broad range was the challenge posed by integrating automation and AI into disconnected processes to optimise operations. 

Another area of shared interest – and frustration – was the difficulty of ensuring accurate ESG reporting with regulations changing often and many portfolio companies not collecting relevant data. The breakfast was a valuable opportunity for peers to share their fixes and frustrations in a market in which the only certainty is uncertainty. Everyone agreed that if they could have a wish, it would be for some calm - however, there are bright spots with data centres, battery storage and electrification of transportation maintaining their shine for investors.
